We booked knowing this was a pared-down hotel at a great price and location. Those are the pluses. I would describe the facilities as upgraded summer camp or youth hostel. The first night I looked up the philosophy behind the hotel and read a couple of articles interviewing the architects, designers and owners. The plan was to design a hotel in the heart of a busy, non-stop city that removed disturbances and distractions for the wearied traveler. And that sounds very positive; there is no phone or tv but there is also no furniture except a bed: no chair, no nightstand, no cup or glass, no washcloth, no hangers, and the list goes on. If the plan is to create a stress-free environment imagine the stress created by having no place to set your toiletries, no cloth to wash your face, no cup for a drink or to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth. Any stress that was removed is amped up 2 minutes after entering the room. I surmise the owners took the philosophy of simplicity to a money-saving extreme. My wife and I are both in our late 70's and I'm handicapped so we booked a handicap accessible room and the space was excellent in terms of the bathroom. The issue for older or handicapped people is constantly lifting your belongings on and off the bed from the floor whenever you need something. Final thought: it appears all responses are AI generated as all responses follow the exact same pattern.

This was my second time staying at the Zedwell and I love the convenient location and the fact the rooms are super clean. It is my safe retreat to return to after a fun filled busy day in the city.

Great location to everything. Had an issue with our room and the staff helped us very well. Rooms are nice, but small as you see on the website so just know when you come - we knew what we were getting so not a knock at all.

Thr property was in a great location just steps away from Trafalgar Square Piccadilly Circus. There were wonderful restaurants, shopping and Hop on/off buses. I was disappointed in the size of the room, I have never seen a room so small however perhaps I should have done more research on the options. The rooms dont seem to get cool enough, it was a little uncomfortable even with the thermostat on the lowest/coolest option. They also need to vacum the hallways often because there is carpet throughout the building and upon checkin there was all kinds of debris on the carpet on our floor, it felt unclean.

Arrived at the Hotel about 11pm. Rooms were prepaid yet no rooms were available at that moment. We were sat in the lobby with other irate and unhappy prepaidguests waiting for them to clean and ready rooms after midnight. Communication from the staff was quite poor. It became very apparent while sitting in the lobby why they weren’t ready. It was a Saturday night and it appears they may be renting rooms by the hour. So many street walkers and their John’s came walking in, going upstairs and then shortly departing. After their departure tada!!! a room was ready! This was the trend until it became our turn to get our room Getting passed all that let’s talk about the stay. Hotel is located in the heart of Piccadilly Circus, a very short walk from the tube. Rooms a very small, there is no TV, no Microwave, No refrigerator, no obo e to call guest services, no chairs in room, no night stand no windows to let in light, beds are extremely difficult to get in and out of, no breakfast, NO A/C and the rooms were hot and stuffy! If you like sleeping in cramps no frills hot confines while paying good money then this may be the place for you. I asked for my room to be serviced as there was only water in the body wash container, and for 3 days they did nothing. I asked about A/C they did nothing! If this is a holiday you want to make pleasant memories of then exclude the Zedwell Piccadilly from the itinerary, as the experience may just as well cast a dark cloud over it.

Though there was no TV, Phone or windows. Location was perfect!

The place was very good for the price paid, very clean and rooms looked very nice. The only issue we had was with the shower, which was clogged and we tried many times to ask for help in the lobby to fix it but nobody dis anything. Overall is a good budget option to stay in good spot.

Room was too small also no housekeeping with minimal towel

The location is perfect,didn’t know that room didn’t come with a tv and I was on the first floor and every night the ceiling was vibrating from music

The stay was fantastic, and a pleasant surprise in comparison to other budget stays like Mimi’s Hotel. Very clean aesthetic, great showers, and phenomenal location and value.

During my recent stay, I was woken at 5:30 a.m. by a naked, distressed woman knocking persistently at my door. Despite reporting this to security, the situation was shockingly mishandled — staff left her in our room while they “figured out” where she belonged. This was completely inappropriate and made my partner and I feel unsafe and uncomfortable. The incident highlighted major security issues at the hotel: anyone can walk in from the street, the lifts don’t require keycard access, and the 4th-floor security door didn’t even lock properly. Clearly, the hotel has serious flaws in guest safety. To make matters worse, at check-in we were told early access to the room would cost £60 (or £40 after 2 p.m.), and that luggage storage would be £15 per bag — something I’ve never been charged for at any hotel I’ve stayed at. I raised all of this in person during my stay and followed up afterwards — still no proper response. I absolutely expected better from a hotel charging this much. Very disappointed and would not return.

For the price the hotel is far too much $$$$ nickel and dime you for everything from check in to an absurd 10am check out or.you can pay 75 bucks to extend to noon. Need to leave your bags with bell desk. 15 bucks per bag!!!!! Gym?! Yes very nice oh that's 15 bucks as well.

Modern clean and nice

This hotel was absolute ideal for us. We needed a twin room close to the Piccadilly Theatre. We were a couple of mins walk away! Check in took seconds. Room had no window but good air con and was in no way stuffy. It was spotless had two single very comfortable beds. It was silent which was amazing given the location. Bathroom was quite big and had shampoo and shower gel. We had paid in advance so check out took seconds again. I can highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a base in the city centre. We will definitely stay here again!

Staff 10/10 location 10/10 My husband did struggle with being claustrophobic due to no windows and super dark room, so if you suffer from this not the best option, but overall we knew it would be without windows so not hotels fault and we didn’t think it would be an issue for him as his never had an issue like this. I would stay here again if he didn’t suffer from claustrophobia. Rooms are decent sized me and the kids loved it.
