Economy class
Economy can help you plan a journey within your budget. Seating arrangements, personal space and facilities vary by train and trainset. Check the available seats carefully, especially when travelling with family or a group.
Check KAI train schedules and ticket prices by departure station, arrival station, travel date and passenger count. Compare departure and arrival times, classes, available seats and the fare offered for each journey.
Train ticket prices can vary by route, train, class, date and availability. Compare suitable departures, then check the final payment total before continuing. A fare shown for one date or route is not a price promise for other journeys.
KAI intercity tickets generally open 45 days ahead. Check Traveloka's calendar for available dates; other services may use different sales windows.
Choose your destination city, then check which stations suit your starting point and onward journey. A city can have several stations serving different trains. Confirm the station names for every journey, including your return trip.
Use these route pages to start planning. Check the search results for the trains, schedules and tickets available on your chosen date. Some linked route guides are in Indonesian.
In Jakarta, check whether your train uses Gambir or Pasar Senen. In Surabaya, distinguish Surabaya Pasarturi, Surabaya Gubeng and Wonokromo. Stations in the same city are not interchangeable for every train.
Allow for transport to your departure station and from your arrival station. If your itinerary involves another train or a station transfer, leave sufficient time and check the tickets for each leg separately.
Choose a class according to your budget, journey length, comfort preferences and the departures available. The same class name does not guarantee an identical seat layout or facilities on every trainset. Read the details and seat map for your specific departure.
Economy can help you plan a journey within your budget. Seating arrangements, personal space and facilities vary by train and trainset. Check the available seats carefully, especially when travelling with family or a group.
Executive is a separate class from Luxury, Priority and Suite services. Compare the seat features and facilities listed for your chosen train, then decide whether they suit the length of your trip and your budget.
Business class is available on selected services. Compare the departure details, seating layout and fare difference with other classes. Facilities described for one train should not be assumed to apply to every Business service.
New Generation describes particular trainsets; it does not mean every departure in a class uses that trainset. Luxury, Priority and Suite are also limited to selected services or departures. Check the product name, facilities and availability before paying.
These photos show Economy New Generation and Executive New Generation interiors on particular trainsets. They do not represent every Economy or Executive train. Check the train details and seat map for your selected departure.

Where seat selection is offered, use the map shown during booking. Look for adjacent seats before completing payment if you want to sit together. Seat numbers alone should not be used to guarantee a window position or direction of travel because trainset arrangements can differ.
Book KAI train tickets online after comparing the journeys available for your stations and travel date. Enter passenger details as they appear on the identification documents you will use for the trip.
A payment receipt alone does not confirm that a ticket has been issued. If the e-ticket is missing, check the booking status and contact Traveloka through an available support channel. Keep the booking details where you can find them easily.
Check the train offers available for your account and journey. Read the booking period, travel period, eligible routes or services, minimum spend, quota and payment requirements. Offers can change and may not be available to every user.
Apply the offer as instructed and make sure the discount appears in the payment summary. Compare the final amount payable, including the charges displayed. The discount percentage alone does not show the total saving.
If your plans are flexible, compare alternative dates or departure times. Check other available classes and include transport to and from the stations in your budget. The lowest ticket fare may not give you the lowest total journey cost.
Prepare passenger details before booking opens for your preferred date. Seats and fares can change; there is no single purchase time that is always cheapest for every journey.
Use your booking code at supported station check-in machines, or add official-partner tickets to Access by KAI for an e-boarding pass. Bring matching original identification and follow your ticket and station instructions.
Allow enough time to reach the station, check in, complete identity checks and find your platform. Plan to arrive before the train's departure time. Review any journey notifications for operational changes.
Identification details must match the ticket. Foreign travellers use passport details for KAI bookings and should bring the original passport for boarding. Enter Indonesian children's NIK correctly, including infants. Check passenger names and document numbers before payment.
Under KAI intercity rules, one infant under three without a separate seat can travel without a fare with one adult-fare passenger, subject to operator conditions. Include the infant in the booking. Check the selected service's rules if you need a separate seat or are travelling with more than one infant.
Check current baggage conditions on your e-ticket or the operator's official channels before travelling. Confirm the limits and conditions for oversized items, bicycles or special equipment. Do not bring prohibited items or baggage that obstructs other passengers' space.
Access by KAI supports cancellation of eligible official-partner tickets with matching identification up to two hours before departure, with a 25% administration fee. Station procedures and refund handling have their own conditions.
Read the current KAI conditions. Check identification, availability and request status; contacting support alone does not confirm a change.
For eligible official-partner tickets, Access by KAI's rescheduling cutoff is two hours before departure. Its fee is 25% of the original fare plus any fare increase; a cheaper replacement does not refund the difference.
Read the current KAI conditions. Check identification, availability and request status; contacting support alone does not confirm a change.

Partner logos and payment options shown during booking help identify the services offered. Always check the operator, ticket details and payment methods actually available for your transaction.

In addition to KAI intercity trains, plan around the rail service your journey needs. Booking availability through Traveloka depends on the products, routes and dates shown in search.
Whoosh has its own stations, schedules, classes and ticket conditions. Do not use KAI intercity station or check-in instructions as a substitute. Confirm both stations and arrange connecting transport to your final destination.
For airport journeys or other rail services, check the relevant product and the stations served. Schedules, baggage conditions, child tickets, cancellations and changes follow each service's own rules.

Your booking is confirmed when an e-ticket containing a KAI booking code is issued. Check My Booking on Traveloka and notifications sent to the booking contact. A payment receipt alone does not mean the ticket has been issued. If it is missing after payment, check your booking status and contact support.
Enter your departure station, arrival station and date in Traveloka train search. Results show journeys and fares available for those selections. Check the stations, departure and arrival times, class and price before choosing a KAI ticket. Change the date to compare alternatives.

You can book for someone else using the details of the person travelling. An issued ticket is valid only for its named passenger. Access's Transfer Ticket feature moves ticket management to the same passenger's account; it does not replace the passenger. Identification presented at boarding must match the ticket.
Yes. Select the passenger count within the limit shown in search, then enter each passenger’s details accurately. Nearby seats depend on availability. For a group larger than the per-booking limit, check available booking options or contact support before paying; adjoining seats are not guaranteed.
Infants must be included in the journey details. Under KAI intercity rules, one infant under 3 travelling without their own seat with one adult-fare passenger is not charged a fare. If the infant needs their own seat, check the applicable ticket and fare options before booking.
Enter the correct NIK for Indonesian children, including infants, and ensure the name and journey details match their identification. Check KAI or Traveloka guidance for the documents required at boarding before travelling. Do not substitute another person’s identity details for the child’s.
Check Traveloka train ticket offers and read the validity period, routes, payment requirements, quota and eligibility terms. Apply an eligible promo code before completing payment and review the final total. Offers and fares can change; no purchase time always guarantees the cheapest ticket.
Available payment methods are shown on your booking payment page. Choose an available option and follow the displayed instructions, amount and deadline. Methods and offer eligibility may vary by booking. Do not assume every advertised payment brand or instalment option applies to every train ticket.
Check your booking status in My Booking before paying. If the deadline has passed and payment is no longer available, search again and recheck schedules, seats and fares. If money was deducted but no ticket was issued, contact Traveloka support with your booking number and payment evidence.
Select departure and return dates where the search offers a return journey option. Review stations, schedules and passengers for both journeys. If that option is unavailable, search for the outward and return journeys separately. Fares, seat availability and change conditions apply to each journey.
Try another date or departure time, a different class, or an alternative station suitable for your journey. Check the time and cost of reaching that station before choosing it. If trains remain sold out, check availability again without assuming seats will become available. Do not pay an expired booking to try to secure a seat.
Have your booking code and matching original identification ready. Eligible services support station check-in machines, or official-partner bookings can be added to Access by KAI for an e-boarding pass. Face-recognition boarding requires registration and an equipped station. Your booking e-ticket differs from a boarding pass; follow your ticket instructions.
Economy, business and executive classes differ in seating, layout, facilities and fares. Check the selected train details because facilities vary between train sets, including newer economy and premium services. A higher class does not automatically mean a shorter journey; compare the actual schedules.

For eligible excess baggage, station charges per kg are Rp10,000 for executive, Rp6,000 for business and Rp2,000 for economy. Check KAI guidance before bringing bulky items, bicycles, wheelchairs or other special equipment, and ask station staff about excess baggage.
