Located about 100km from Kuala Lumpur and can be reached via Lebuhraya KL-Kuala Selangor in about 1 1/2 hour to 2 hours drive depending on the traffic, Sekinchan is famous for its vast green paddy fields, seafood since it has thier own fishing village called Bagan Fishing Village and gergeous sunset view at its nearby beach called Pantai Redang. One can reach there by car, or by bus from Puduraya Bus Terminal (counter SPT Sabak Bernam-Kuala Lumpur). Pantai Redang Sekinchan is famous for its wishing tree. Make a wish at Pantai Redang by throwing red ribbons onto the tree located next to a small temple. Get lucky red cloth from the temple, write down your wishes and name, throw it up to the tree. However the tree entangled and covered in red ribbons gave you a exquisite background for photos.
There are many seafood restaurant on the "Seafood Street", some of the popular one namely Bagan Restaurant, Cha Po Tion and Loong Hua. Please note that most of the seafood restaurants opened from 8am until 3pm only. Only a handful open at night. No worries, if you dont plan on eating at the restaurant, you can grab snack such as the infamous prawn cracker and raw oysters.
