Singkawang Airport is in Pangmilang, South Singkawang district, to the south of Singkawang city centre in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Super Air Jet and TransNusa operate scheduled flights from Singkawang Airport.
Flights from Singkawang go to Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta, where you can connect to other Indonesian and international destinations.
Besides Singkawang city, the airport serves Bengkayang and Sambas regencies, often referred to together as the Singbebas region.
The 2,000 m runway can handle narrow-body jets such as the Airbus A320, which Super Air Jet uses on its Jakarta route.
No. Singkawang Airport currently handles domestic flights only. For international travel, connect through Jakarta.

Yes. Smoke haze during the dry season has disrupted flights at Singkawang in the past. Check your flight status before heading to the airport.
Singkawang Airport (SKJ) is a domestic airport serving the city of Singkawang in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. It also serves the neighbouring regencies of Bengkayang and Sambas, an area often grouped together as Singbebas. Before it opened, travellers from this part of the province usually flew in and out of Pontianak.
The airport is in Pangmilang, in the South Singkawang district, to the south of the city centre. Its position works for city visitors as well as for residents of the surrounding regencies.
A 2,000 m runway lets the airport handle narrow-body jets such as the Airbus A320. The passenger terminal covers around 8,000 square metres, which gives plenty of space for its current number of flights. Facilities are geared to domestic travellers, with check-in counters, waiting areas and basic services.
Two airlines connect Singkawang with the capital:
From Jakarta, onward connections reach most parts of Indonesia and beyond. Schedules can change, and weather such as seasonal haze sometimes affects operations, so check your flight status before leaving for the airport.
Most passengers travel into the city by taxi, private car or hotel pick-up. If you are heading further to Bengkayang or Sambas, arranging a driver in advance saves time on arrival.
Singkawang is known for its strong Chinese-Indonesian heritage, with many colourful temples across the city. Its Cap Go Meh celebrations draw large crowds, and nearby beaches and hills offer easy day trips.
With a small number of daily departures, flights can fill up around holidays and festival periods, so book early. Keep an eye on the weather during the dry season, when haze can cause delays.
