About Dhaksinarga Terminal

Terminal Dhaksinarga, classified as a type A terminal, operates under the management of the Class III D.I. Yogyakarta Land Transportation Management Office. The terminal covers a total area of 49,300 square meters, with a building size of 6,631 square meters, situated in Desa Selang, Wonosari District, Gunungkidul Regency.

The second floor of the terminal houses the Gunungkidul Regency Public Service Mall, which initially had four service booths but has now expanded to 17 booths. This mall offers approximately 85 types of services, including civil registration, banking, police, prosecution, and BPJS (Social Security).

According to the Gunungkidul Regent Regulation No. 39 of 2012, there are five urban transportation routes serving the Wonosari area, the capital of Gunungkidul Regency, with a total of 40 vehicles operating eight vehicles per route each day. Additionally, there are 41 rural transportation routes in Gunungkidul, although 15 of these routes currently lack adequate public transport services.

Facilities Available at Terminal Dhaksinarga

1. Passenger Waiting Area 

Spanning 569 square meters, this waiting area is designed to offer comfort while passengers wait for their departure. It is equipped with comfortable seating and other amenities to make the waiting time more pleasant.

2. Departure Lane 

Covering an area of 1,022 square meters, the departure lane is efficiently organized to ensure smooth movement of departing vehicles, reducing congestion and expediting the boarding process.

3. Arrival Lane 

With an area of 1,332.82 square meters, this lane handles the arrival of vehicles, both for AKAP (intercity) and AKDP (provincial) services. The clear separation between arrival and departure areas helps prevent confusion and facilitates easy exit for passengers.

4. Public Service Mall (MPP) 

Located on the second floor of the terminal, the Public Service Mall of Gunungkidul utilizes the available space with several service booths. This mall integrates various services from both internal and external departments into one location, making it easier for visitors to access a range of public services.

5. Terminal Office Building 

Typically situated in the main terminal area, this building often includes a control tower. The tower functions to monitor and manage vehicle movements and passenger activities, ensuring smooth operations throughout the terminal.

6. Waiting Area for Passengers or Escorts 

This area is designated for passengers and their escorts. It is designed to provide a comfortable place for visitors to wait peacefully before departure.

7. Transit Lane 

This specialized lane is reserved for passenger transport vehicles passing through the terminal. Its design ensures that vehicles can move smoothly without disrupting other terminal activities.

8. Ticket Sales Counter 

This area allows passengers to purchase travel tickets. Equipped with various payment options, the counters facilitate transactions and reduce waiting times for passengers.

9. Temporary Vehicle Rest Area 

Provided for public transport vehicles to rest and perform light maintenance before continuing their journey. This area ensures that vehicles are in optimal condition and ready for operation.

10. Signage and Information Boards 

These facilities offer essential information such as directions, fares, and departure schedules. The signage and information boards help passengers plan their journeys more effectively.

11. Parking Facilities 

The parking area is designed to accommodate various types of personal vehicles, including cars and motorcycles. Equipped with adequate security measures, this facility ensures the safety and comfort of vehicles during parking.

12. Food Court 

The food court offers a variety of dining options. It provides a comfortable space for visitors to eat and relax before continuing their journey.
