Cirebon Prujakan Station is a big class railway station under the management of PT. KAI (Persero) Operational Area 3 of Cirebon. This station has been opened since 1911 and located on Nyimas Gandasari Street No. 1, Pekalipan – Cirebon zip code: 45153. The location is near Balong Indah Plaza. The transportation used to get to the station is usually pedicabs, public transportation (angkot), or Elf vans.
This railway station used to be under the name of Cheribon SCS Station. This station has become the central railway crossing of Economy class trains for Jakarta, cities of Central and Eastern parts of Java island as a destination. Currently, Cirebon Prujakan Station has nine tracks with one special track for freight trains. Interestingly, Cirebon Prujakan Station is the only station in operational area 3 of Cirebon that applies drive-thru ticketing system.
