The weather in Boracay is generally divided into two seasonal weather called the Amihan and Habagat seasons by locals. In the Visayan language, Amihan means cool Northeast wind while Habagat means Western or Southwest winds. The Amihan Season has features such as moderate temperature, no rain and wind blowing from the Northeast. The Habagat season has features such as hot and humid weather, frequent heavy rain and a wind blowing from the West. Boracay has a temperature of about 25-32 °C at the start of the Amihan season in February or March. Then, it will rise to about 28-38 °C at the beginning of the Habagat season.
