1. Cagaswa Ruins Park – This park was built in 1587, destroyed in 1646 and reconstructed in 1724 and once again destroyed in 1814 during the eruption of the Mayon Volcano. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in the Philippines and maintained by the municipal government of Daraga and the National Museum of the Philippines. The Cagaswa ruins are located at Barangay Busay. Besides that, it also acts as a site of the Cagsawa Branch of the National Museum of the Philippines, also known as the Cagsawa National Museum. The museum was established on land that was donated by the municipality of Daraga to the National Museum on January 26, 1981. Besides, there is also a Cagaswa Ruins Festival which showcases various activities and entertainment such as outdoor and sports events, culinary activities, and cultural presentations of dances.
2. Vera Falls - This stunning waterfall is located between two volcanoes on the other side of Mt. Mayon. When you reach the car park, you will embark on a walk down a set of 100 jungle stairs that will lead you to the beautiful Vera Falls. At the base of the waterfall, there is a cold and shallow pool of water that allows visitors to swim during hot days. For those who prefer adventurous activities, you can come to Kawasan Falls. To go to Kawasan Falls, there is a challenging track that consists of dirt, slippery rocks and stony rivers. When you arrive, you can see the beautiful waterfalls and naturally round pool surrounded by the bedrocks and green forest. It is also a swimming spot among the locals and tourist and it is best to immerse your body into the cold and refreshing water after a long day of trekking.
3. Lignon Hill Park – Stood at 156 meters in Legazpi, Lignon Hill is one of the famous tourist attraction that offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the valley. The environmental fee of 10 pesos per person and you can begin to climb the steep road up to the hill. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset and sunrise and offers hiking activity with the Kapit Tuko Trail (Lizard Grip Trail) for only a short amount of time and challenging. It is the best place for bird watching activity as you can find various species of birds here.
