Before Charles de Gaulle Airport was even constructed, Orly would serve as the main airport for Paris. The airport is located partially in Orly and partially in Villeneuve-le-Roi, which is 13 kilometers south of Paris. In its early days, the airport was known as Villeneuve-Orly Airport and served as the secondary airport to Le Bourget. Orly Airport is owned and operated by Aéroports de Paris which also manages Charles de Gaulle Airport.
