You can reach Kuala Lumpur by plane. Kuala Lumpur International Airport (IATA: KUL) is about 50 km south-west of the city, in the Sepang district of Selangor. The airport serves as the main gateway to enter the country. It is usually flocked by travellers from all over the world.
From the airport; a taxi would be the most convenient way to reach the city. You are advised to use the coupon taxi available at the exit point or else the drivers that hang around the waiting lounge will try to scam you. Meanwhile, KLIA Trains link the main airport terminal with the KL Sentral transportation hub in Kuala Lumpur. KLIA Transit trains get to the airport in 36 minutes and stop at Salak Tinggi, Putrajaya, and Bandar Tasik Selatan on its way, while the Non-stop KLIA Ekspres trains complete the journey in 28 minutes.
If you drive on your own, the airport is well connected to Peninsular Malaysia's expressway network. It is directly linked with the North-South Highway about 70 km or nearly 1 hour away from Kuala Lumpur. Exit the highway at KLIA interchange for both the KLIA and KLIA2.
