The most popular geographic features of the park are the pillar-like formations that are seen throughout the park. One of the pillars here was officially named as "Avatar Hallelujah Mountain" in honor of the movie Avatar in January 2010 as it inspired the floating Hallelujah Mountains as seen in the movie. The popular attractions in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park are the Bailong Elevator or known as 'hundred dragons skylift'. It is the world's tallest outdoor lift with 326 metres high and able to transport the visitors to the top in less than 2 minutes.
