Bukit Serelo train, or Serelo train, is one type of economy-class train that serves railway trips from the Kertapati corridor to the Lubuklinggau corridor in South Sumatra. The name of this train is derived from the hill located in the western part of South Sumatra, namely Bukit Serelo in Perangai Village, South Merapi District, Lahat Regency.
Initially, before the Serelo train was operated, there was a mixed-class train with executive, business, and economy classes called Bukit Sulap, which operated during the daytime. However, the service from the Bukit Sulap train was split into the Serelo train for the economy class operating during the day and Sindang Marga for the executive and business classes operating at night.
Availability of Classes in Bukit Serelo Train The Bukit Serelo train itself only serves the economy class. The train consists of several carriages, including 6 economy class carriages (K3), 1 economy power generator dining carriage (KMP3), and finally, there is the "aling-aling" carriage, which is a former business class carriage (K2).
Although it falls into economy class, you don't need to worry about the comfort. Inside, you will find various facilities to support your comfort, such as 2 air conditioners in each carriage, toilets, sinks, and even water spray. Not only that, the seats in this train are also equipped with small tables that can be used to place your belongings.
In addition, there are also several standard safety facilities such as emergency brakes and light fire extinguishers. With the mentioned facilities, it is enough to make you feel comfortable during the journey.
The Bukit Serelo train itself only serves economy class. In this train the train series consists of several carriages, namely 6 economy class trains (K3), 1 economy class dining train (KMP3) and finally there is the "aling-aling" train which is a former business class train (K2).

As you can see in the schedule, the Bukit Serelo train serves round-trip routes from Kertapati station to Lubuk Linggau. The train departs from Kertapati station at 09:30. It passes through various stations, starting with Payakabung station arriving at 10:03 and departing at 10:05. Finally, after passing several stations, the Bukit Serelo train is scheduled to arrive at Lubuk Linggau station at 16:25.
However if you initiate your journey from Lubuk Linggau station, the Bukit Serelo train will also depart at the same time, 09:30, and pass through several stations first, such as Kota Padang station, arriving at 09:56 and departing at 09:58. Finally, the Bukit Serelo train will arrive at Kertapati station at 16:15.
