Information About Tambun Station

Tambun Station (TB) is a train station located in Mekarsari, South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The station is part of the railway line that connects Bekasi with the surrounding areas. Tambun Station is located on the Jakarta-Cikampek Railway Line.

TB Station is a class III or small class railway station located in the Jakarta Operating Region I. This station only serves Commuter Line trains. The station is located at an altitude of +19 meters and has four railway lines. Tambun Station serves Cikarang Station and Kampungbandan or Angke Station destinations via Manggarai or Pasar Senen.

Unique Facts About Tambun Station

1. Historical Witness

Tambun Station is close to the Tambun Juang Building or Bekasi Museum. During the War of Independence, the Tambun Juang Building was a place to exchange prisoners of war. The Dutch returned Indonesian freedom fighters through Bekasi, while Dutch soldiers were returned by train through the railroad track behind the Tambun Juang Building.

2. Got a New Building

Since November 18, 2023, PT KAI Commuter has officially transferred all Commuter Line services to the new Tambun Station building. With this new building, Tambun Station is now equipped with facilities such as disabled toilets, health posts, wider lobbies and platforms, and lactation rooms.
