Purwosari Station (PWS) is a train station located in Purwosari, Laweyan, and Surakarta. This station is a large type C-class train station, located at an altitude of 93+ m, and is included in the management of Operation Area VI Yogyakarta and KAI Commuter.

Purwosari Station only serves economy class intercity trains and a small number of mixed-class trains across the south and central Java Islands. This station also serves airports, agglomerations, and commuter trains.

In addition to being known as a major-class station, Purwosari Station is also the second oldest station in Surakarta. On March 27, 1871, the  Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij (NIS) completed the construction of the railway line and inaugurated the Ceper-Solo NIS segment, which coincided with the opening of this station.
