Information About Cepu Station

Cepu Station (CU) is a large C-class train station located in Diponegoro 87 Street, Balun, Cepu, Blora, East Java. This station is directly opposite Ronggolawe Field at an altitude of +28 meters above sea level.

Cepu Station is included in the Semarang IV operation area, becoming a station on the easternmost side of Central Java and the main station in the Blora subdistrict. Starting from Jakarta Gambir Station, the distance is around 579 kilometers to the east.

Argo Bromo Anggrek Train is the only train not stopping or directly passing this station. All relations of passenger and freight trains to Surabaya and Jakarta, until agglomeration to commuter trains must stop at this station. Heading to the east side of this station and before entering Tobo Station, there is Padangan Station which has inactive status because it is close to Cepu Station.

Even though it is a type C station, Cepu Station has complete facilities. Starting from the parking area, self-ticket printing machine, waiting room, counter area for direct ticket orders, information, customer service, prayer room, toilet, health post, ATM gallery, breastfeeding room, smoking area, and area for charging electronic devices.

Route, Ticket Price, and Schedule of Train at Cepu Station

Cepu Station is a stopping station for several long-distance train connections for executive, economy, and mixed class, except for the Argo Bromo Anggrek Train which passes directly. Apart from that, this station also serves local Blorasura Commuter Line trains for the Cepu Station-Surabaya Turi Market Station route and the Blora Jaya Train for the Cepu Station-Semarang Poncol Station route.

The ticket price for traveling using the Blorasura Commuter Line train is around IDR 13 thousand per person for one trip. The travel duration for the Surabaya to Cepu route, which is 141 kilometers, is 2 hours 45 minutes to 3.5 hours.

Meanwhile, the ticket price for traveling using the Blora Jaya train for the Semarang Poncol Station-Cepu Station connection is IDR 65 thousand per person. The train will depart from Semarang Poncol Station at 18.38 WIB and arrive at Cepu Station at 20.52 WIB. Travel time for these two routes is 2 hours 14 minutes.

On the other hand, if the trip is made using the Blorasura Commuter Line for the Cepu-Surabaya Pasarturi PP line towards Surabaya Pasarturi Station, the station after Cepu Station is Bojonegoro Station. There is no previous station because Cepu Station is the terminus station.

• Cepu Station has a distinctive bell that sounds like the Gambang Semarang instrumental song which signals the train's arrival. This bell song is also a characteristic of most of the other stations in the Semarang IV operation area.
• Cepu Station officially operated on March 1 1902 and has undergone two major renovations. Currently, the station building is in the third generation of renovation after demolishing the building from the second generation of renovation. However, it is uncertain when this third-generation renovation will take place.
• Not only changes to the railroad track and building layout, Cepu Station also experienced a change in signaling from a mechanical to an electrical system made by the Len Industri company.
