Camiguin is an island province in the Philippines located in the Bohol Sea. It is approximately situated around 10 kilometers off the northern coast of Mindanao. It is the second-smallest province in the country in both population and land area after Batanes. The provincial capital is Mambajao, which is also the province's largest municipality in both area and population.
Visitors usually come during the annual Lanzones Festival whereby it is held in the third week of October. Lanzones or buahan is a small grape-sized tropical fruit grown all over the island. It is a colorful festival event and Lanzones grown in Camiguin is considered to be the sweetest and gives unique flavor due to the richness of the volcanic soil.
Puerto Princesa International Airport - This is the only airport that serves Puerto Princesa. It is located within the city limit, just around seven kilometers from the city hall. The airport got its new passenger terminal in 2017 to accommodate the increasing number of passengers. In 2018, the Perto Princesa International Airport handled more than 2 million passengers. There are several local and international airlines providing services at Puerto Princesa International Airport, connecting the city to other cities in the Philippines and Taipei and South Korea. Transportations from the airport are plenty such as taxis, buses and car rentals together with the unique Philippines vehicle, the Jeepneys.
