About Nan

Nan is a small town situated in northern Thailand. It is 689 kilometres (428 mi) north of Bangkok. It is in the centre of Nan region which bears its name, and of which it is the past administrative capital. It involves tambon Nai Wiang and parts of tambon Pha Sing of Mueang Nan District, an area of 7.61 square kilometres (2.93 sq mi) split into 30 chumchon. In 2010 it had a population of 21,335 spread along the Nan River's right bank. Nan is a small town, mainly dedicated to administrative, commercial, educational, and hospital activities. The old heart of the city, where Wat Phumin, the oldest national museum and other tourist attractions are found, and it is being restored.

Nan Nakhon Airport or previously known as Nan Airport that served for the Nan, the capital city of Nan Region, Thailand. Flights are available to two primary destinations only, which is Bangkok-Don Mueang (DMK) and Chiang Mai (CNX). In 2014, a new building further down airport road substituted the old terminal. The same taxiway and runways are still used. Upon arrival and departure, passengers are required to walk to the terminal or the aircraft, as no ramps extend from the terminal until today. There is no flight available from Changi International Airport to Nan Nakhon Airport until the present.
