From the airport terminals, passengers can easily reach the city centre by buses, MRT trains, high-speed rail and taxis.

Taipei has long summer and short winter durations. Summer is hot and humid with temperature as high as 29 degrees on average and may surge to 34 degrees on a very hot day. This season also coincides with the Pacific typhoon season between June and October, bringing heavy rainstorms to the city. Rainfall is also frequent in the rest of the year, although with lower intensity than in summer. Taipei has warm winter around 16 degrees centigrade and rarely reach to below ten degrees.

  • Taipei 101 – Taipei 101 is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world and was certified as the world's tallest and largest green building. As Taipei is susceptible to typhoons, the building was designed to withstand winds up to 216km/h, making it as one of the most stable buildings that have ever been built. Taipei 101 has two-speed elevators that travel from 5th floor to 89th floor within 37 seconds. On the 88th and 89th floor, visitors can view the entire Taipei city at the Indoor Observation Deck, which has guided tours within a comfortable environment. Further up on the 91st and 101st floors are the Outdoor Observation Decks at elevation as high as 449 meters above the ground level. The observation decks are accessible from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm for NT$ 600 (1010 PHP). If you plan to be at Taipei 101 at night, do not miss the unique colour spectrum of the building's light illumination, which changes daily.
  • National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall – National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall was opened in 1980 as a memorial for former China's president. The memorial building has a blue octagonal roof, signifying the good fortune of number 8. To enter the hall, visitors can walk up one of the two 89-step stairs. As visitors enter the building, you can view the exhibits related to Taiwan and the former president within the museum located on the ground floor. Visitors will also get to experience watching the guard mounting ceremony at the upper floor in the main hall. After visiting the memorial hall, visitors can enjoy the scenery within the memorial park and take beautiful photos of the national landmark.
  • Yangmingshan National Park – Yangmingshan is among the famous national parks in Taiwan. Situated near Taipei, the park has spectacular scenery of the natural landscapes including the ridges, valleys, waterfalls and basin. Also within the parking area is Xiaoyoukeng which is a former volcanic landscape area. At an elevation of about 805 meters above sea level, this area is famous for its natural springs and sulfur crystals. The rich volcanic soil has promoted the growth of various vegetation at a high altitude, including Japanese maple trees. If you visit Yangmingshan in the spring season, you will be able to enjoy the breathtaking view of the colourful scenery in this park.
