Cotabato Airport is also the 20th busiest airport to operate in the Philippines with an annual number of passengers of nearly 300,000 people, aircraft movements of nearly 3,000 and these numbers are increasing year by year. However, it does not serve the city by handling major international flights. It is located in the Maguindanao province, about 7 km away from the centre of Cotabato City. An international airport is expected to be built in June 2019 to serve the Cotabato City.

Sibulan Airport- Also known as Dumaguete Airport or Dumaguete–Sibulan Airport, it is an airport serving the general area of the city of Dumaguete, located in the province of Negros Oriental in the Philippines. The airport is named after its location in the adjacent municipality of Sibulan. The airport is also classified as a Class 1 principal (major domestic) airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the body of the Department of Transportation and Communications.

Dumaguete has a tropical savannah climate with two distinct seasons which are dry and wet seasons. The wet season covers the period from June to November, and the dry season starts from December to May, the hottest being April and May. The average maximum temperature is 34.3 °C and the average minimum temperature is 22.9 °C for the past years.

  • Mount Kanloan- Standing at 2,430 meters high, Mount Kanloan is one of the famous attractions at Dumaguete. Mount Kanlaon belongs to the Pacific Ring of Fire and has erupted 28 times with nine eruptions since 2001 and the most recent eruption in 2016. Most of these eruptions involve steam expulsions and earthquakes. The visitors usually climb in a group to Mount Kanloan for a 3-day hike full of wildlife, views, and hot springs. Those who are interested in hiking this mountain must head to the DENR office in Bacolod to apply for a hiking permit beforehand.
  • Dolphin Watching at Tanon Strait- The most interesting activity here is dolphin watching at Tanon Strait. As dolphins are most active in the morning, visitors must get ready to wake up at the crack of dawn because the journey from the city to this place takes about an hour. As soon as you arrive, you will be put on a catamaran boat with other tourists. Then, you can see the fantastic creatures swimming, splashing, and jumping out of the water.
  • Malatapay Market- For local shopping venue, Malatapay market is the place to go. Open seven days a week, Malatapay is a fantastic outdoor market selling food, beverages, handicrafts, furniture, hats, machetes, and many more. Wednesday is the biggest day of the week for the Malatapay market where you can expect a feast with whole roasted lechon and some exotic Filipino delicacies for you brave eaters. There is also live animals auction selling pigs, chicken and cattle to local farmers and butchers.
