Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport - also known as Tacloban City Airport, is an airport serving the general area of Tacloban, a highly urbanized city in Leyte island in the Philippines. It is the main gateway from Manila and Cebu to the Eastern Visayas Region in central east Philippines. It is classified as a Class 1 principal (major domestic) airport by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the agency responsible for the operations of all the airports in the Philippines excluding the major international airports. As of 2017, Daniel Z. Romualdez Airport is ranked as the eighth busiest and the third-fastest growing airport by passenger volume out of the 45 commercial airports in the Philippines.

  • People’s Center Library - In the real city of Tacloban, this library houses holds books from different cultures around the world, including the rich cultural heritage of the Waraynons from Samar and Leyte. It also has a collection of all the ethnic tribes of the Philippines. The social hall of the library becomes a bazaar during summer and Christmas season, which attracts visitors from nearby towns. It is said that the library was built to house the thousands of books that the former first lady, Imelda Marcos, bought from the US.
  • Sto. Niño Shrine and Heritage Museum - Besides the people's central library, there lie a museum named Sto. Niño Shrine, also known as Romualdez Museum. It was built on the order of Imelda Romualdez during the Marcos Era. It is one of the 29 presidential rest houses of the family of former President Ferdinand Marcos. The shrine is considered as a top tourist destination in Tacloban City because of its association with the former first lady. Visitors often go here to see the patron saint of Leyte, Sto. Niño, and to catch a glimpse of the wooden sculpture of “Si Malakas at si Maganda.” The shrine houses paintings of the 14 stations of the cross done by Filipino artists, and you can also find here a collection of original paintings by Fernando Amorsolo.
  • The Price Mansion - it was named after Walter Scott Price, an American businessman who settled in Tacloban with his Caviteña wife and founded several businesses like the Leyte Transport Company and the Bazar Gran Capitan during the American period. Price was so loved by the people of Tacloban because he has never been blinded by wealth, social and political power. Instead, he remained hospitable and was always ready to smile and share his blessings to the less fortunate.
