About Siargao

Getting around in Siargao
The easiest way to get around the island is by renting out a motorcycle. The rental costs around 350 pesos per day and around 500 pesos if you rent it out for less than a week. You can also rent out bicycles for about 250 pesos if you’re planning to go around in a small part of the island. This way you have a better hold of your time.
If you can’t ride a motorbike on your own, you can also flag down a habal-habal (motorcycle with driver) for around 20 to 50 pesos. Some high end resorts on the island have van services, which pick you up right from the airport.
To get to the island, you can fly directly from Manila to Siargao Airport via airlines like Skyjet and Cebu Pacific. Airlines also offer flights from Cebu to Siargao. You can even try a different flight route by flying from Manila to Surigao City. From Surigao City, you can then take a ferry to the island of Siargao.

Cloud 9

One of the most popular tourist attractions in the island, these rock pools appear during low tide. It’s a great spot for swimming, diving, and cliff jumping. The azure waters never disappoint and the 45 minute motorcycle ride to this place is always worth it. If you want to try climbing up the rock formations to cliff jump, be sure to wear water shoes or regular rubber shoes so you won’t hurt your feet on the jagged rocks.

Another popular spot in Siargao, Sugba Lagoon is a short day trip away from General Luna. Getting here usually costs around 1,500 to 2,000 pesos and this includes the entrance fee and lunch. While you’re here, you can try kayaking, paddle boarding, or jumping from the famous Sugba lagoon dive platform. Don’t forget to take some instagram-worthy shots by the lagoon.
- Daku, Guyam, and Naked Islands

These three islands are the popular island hopping destinations from Siargao. Daku Island is the largest island among the three and its beach is lined with palm trees and huts where you can relax and have a hearty meal. Guyam island is a small island covered with palm trees that you can easily explore and walk around in. While Naked island is basically a sandbar where you can swim and get your tan on.

As you head over to Magpupungko Rock Pools or Pacifico beach, don’t miss the stunning view of the coconut palm forest at the top of the road. Try passing through this spot early in the morning to catch the sun rise through the trees or in the afternoon as the sun sets over the horizon.
