January to February are the best months to visit Coron. These are the months when the monsoon season has just ended, and the peak travel season has yet to start. The peak travel period in Coron is from March to June, so if you are looking to avoid the crowds, do avoid these months. There will still be occasional rainfall during January and February, but the tides are calm and the skies are clear. August to December is when you should avoid going to Corn as this is when the monsoon season starts, bringing strong winds and rainfall throughout the day.

Legazpi Airport (LGP) - The Legazpi Airport, located 15km from town is the main airport in the Bicol region. The airport serves the surrounding areas of Legazpi, the capital city of Albay. To get to Legazpi city from the airport, you may head out of the airport gate and get a tricycle from there. Tricycle usually cost around P50 one way. One trip will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. If you walk to the road outside, you may take jeepneys to the Albay district or Daraga city. Even though Legazpi airport is a rather small airport which consists of a single-story building, it is equipped with a waiting area and a tour desk.


Francisco B. Reyes Airport (USU) - Coron Airport or the Francisco B. Reyes Airport was named after the former mayor of Coron. Formerly known as Busuanga Airport, the Francisco B. Reyes Airport is located on Busuanga Airpot, approximately 40 minutes from Coron town. The small airport is surrounded by fields and jungle, giving access only to propeller planes. The small terminal is not air-conditioned and is not equipped with a luggage conveyer belt. There are a few coffee shops, souvenir shops and restaurants in the airport terminal. To get to Coron, you can take a jeepney which will take approximately one hour to reach the city. The jeepney ride will cost around PHP 150 per ride.

The site consists of a Japanese convoy which includes supply and warships that sunk in Coron Bay in the year 1944. Not many shipwreck dive sites have these many wrecks at one site. At the Coron shipwreck dive site, divers will be able to see seven ships lying on the seabed at a depth of 10 to 40 meters. The coral-encrusted ships are now home to an abundant array of marine life.
  • Coron Twin Lagoon - A 20-minute boat ride from Coron town will take you to the Twin Lagoon. Here the waters range from a luminescent turquoise to emerald green. Visitors will be greeted by pristine waters and limestone karst formations that have been shaped and twisted by erosion. You can take a dip in the lagoon but do be careful as there are large sea urchins scattered along the bottom of the ocean floor.
