About Lhasa

The palace was built in 1755 and the palace has served as the summer residence of the Dalai Lamas from the 1780s until the exile of the 14th Dalai Lama. The palace was recognized as one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and the palace is a unique representation of the Tibetan expertise in palace architecture.
