Palacio de Gobierno – Also known as the House of Pizarro, this majestic white building on the northwestern side of Plaza Grande is the seat of the Ecuadorian presidency. Visitors can take a free tour in Spanish and English that happens every 20 minutes, and enter this House. Don’t forget to bring photo ID to the ticket office on Espejo to reserve a space. The President actually lives and works here daily, so sightseeing is limited to rooms that are not in use.
