The airport serves as the entry to Tagbilaran and the rest of central Bohol for domestic air travellers. It also is less than an hour's flight from Mactan-Cebu International Airport, which is an entry to the Central Philippines for international tourists. The airport was initiated on 27 November 2018.

Laguindingan Airport - Laguindingan Airport is the primary airport that serves the cities of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan. The airport sits on a 4.20 square kilometres site in Barangay Moog, Laguindingan and is 47 kilometres from Cagayan de Oro and 56 kilometres from Iligan. This airport began its operation on 15 June 2013 and substituted Lumbia Airport in Barangay Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro. In 2019, Laguindingan Airport was known as the top 6 busiest airports in the country with an estimate of 2 000 000 passengers passing through it. To go in and out of the airport is easy because there are many types of public transportation available in Laguindingan Airport for the visitors. There is no direct flight from Tagbilaran-Bohol to Cagayan de Oro until the present.
