However, it does not serve the city by handling major international flights. It is located in the Maguindanao province, about 7 km away from the centre of Cotabato City. An international airport is expected to be built in June 2019 to serve the Cotabato City.

Legazpi Airport – Legazpi Airport is a major airport situated in the Bicol Region serving the vicinity of Legazpi, the capital city of Albay. It has a single runway and can handle medium-sized civilian jets and military aircraft. It is only about 12 kilometers from the crater of Mayon Volcano.

Legazpi City features a tropical rainforest climate with a copious amount of rainfall throughout the year. The coolest month is January with a daily mean of 25.3 °C and the hottest months are jointly May and June with a daily mean of 28.1 °C.   • Vera Falls - This stunning waterfall is located between two volcanoes on the other side of Mt. Mayon. When you reach the car park, you will embark on a walk down a set of 100 jungle stairs that will lead you to the beautiful Vera Falls. At the base of the waterfall, there is a cool and shallow pool of water that allows visitors to swim during hot days. For those who prefer adventurous activities, you can come to Kawasan Falls. To reach the Kawasan Falls, you need to walk through a challenging track that consists of dirt, slippery rocks and stony rivers. When you arrive, you can see the beautiful waterfalls and naturally round pool surrounded by the bedrocks and green forest. It is also a swimming spot among the locals and tourist and it is best to immerse your body into the cold and refreshing water after a long day of trekking.
  • Lignon Hill Park – Stood at 156 metres in Legazpi, Lignon Hill is one of the popular tourist attraction that offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the valley. The environmental fee of 10 pesos per person and you can begin to climb the steep road up to the hill. It is the perfect place to watch the sunset and sunrise and offers hiking activity with the Kapit Tuko Trail (Lizard Grip Trail) for only a short amount of time and challenging. During hiking, you can find various species of birds and lizards. There are also joggers in the evening and both family and friends enjoying the night view of the city.
  • Cagaswa Ruins Park – This park was built in 1587, destroyed in 1646 and reconstructed in 1724 and once again destroyed in 1814 during the eruption of the Mayon Volcano. It is one of the famous tourist attractions in the Philippines and maintained by the municipal government of Daraga and the National Museum of the Philippines. The Cagaswa ruins are located at Barangay Busay. Besides that, it also acts as a site of the Cagsawa Branch of the National Museum of the Philippines, also known as the Cagsawa National Museum. The museum was established on land that was donated by the municipality of Daraga to the National Museum on January 26, 1981. Besides, there is also a Cagaswa Ruins Festival which showcases various activities and entertainment such as outdoor and sports events, culinary activities, and cultural presentations of dances.
