General Santos International Airport - Also known as General Santos City Airport (GES), this airport is located in the city of General Santos, Philippines. Ozamiz Airport - Also known as Labo Airport (OZC), this airport serves the general area of the city of Ozamiz in the Philippines. It is the only airport in the province of Misamis Occidental. The airport takes its name from its location, the barangay of Labo in Ozamiz. This airport operates flights to Manila and Cebu provided by Philippines Airlines and Cebu Pacific. This airport is considered as a small airport, therefore do not expect 5-star facilities on your arrival. To get to the city, you can take the jeepney, bus or trikes.

On the other hand, the cool season that lasts for 2.2 months, happens from December 3 to February 10, with an average daily high temperature below 31°C. The coldest day of the year is December 12, with an average low of 23°C and a high of 31°C.

  • Cotta Fort - One of the interesting places that you should visit in Ozamiz is the Cotta Fort. This fort was built in 1755 as a Spanish outpost. There is nothing much to see at this fort as it is an enclosed space. If you are a history lover, you may be interested to learn more at the small museum inside the fort. There is a PHP 10 entrance fee that you will have to pay to the guard on duty.
  • Naomi’s Botanical Garden - Naomi’s Garden and Tourist Inn, is located approximately 10 minutes away from the city. This garden has become a tourist attraction due to the varieties of fruit trees and ornamental plants there. There are many rare species of orchids, flowering plants, and bonsai in the garden. The property covers roughly 13 hectares. You can also stay at the tourist inn, which should be arranged in advance. For those who are planning to hold an event, this garden can also be used as an event space.
  • Mount Malindang Range Natural Park - After the discovery of several endemic and endangered species of animals in the Philippines in 2011, this park has been as an ASEAN Heritage Park. Most of its 53,262 hectares remain unexplored to preserve the natural biodiversity. The highlight of the park, Mount Malindang is an extinct volcano. You can also visit Lala Eco-Park where you can find the newly discovered Cobra Falls.
