Best time to fly from Legazpi to Dipolog

May, June, July, September, October and November are the months to avoid visiting Dipolog as these months bring more rain to Dipolog, especially in November. Legazpi Airport (LGP) - The Legazpi Airport, located 15km from town is the main airport in the Bicol region. The airport serves the surrounding areas of Legazpi, the capital city of Albay. To get to Legazpi city from the airport, you may head out of the airport gate and get a tricycle from there. Tricycle usually cost around P50 one way. One trip will take approximately 15 minutes, depending on traffic. If you walk to the road outside, you may take jeepneys to the Albay district or Daraga city. Even though Legazpi airport is a rather small airport which consists of a single-story building, it is equipped with a waiting area and a tour desk.

Dipolog Airport - The general area of Dipolog, the capital of Zamboanga del Norte is serviced by Dipolog airport. Located approximately 14 kilometers away from Dipolog city, the airport has 3 airlines operating flights to and from the airport, which are Royale Air Way Charter, Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific. The small airport is a small airport without any conveyor belts. Travelers will have to pick up their luggage from cart places at the arrival gate. Getting transportation to and from the airport may be a difficult task. Therefore it is much advised to arrange to pick up services with the hotel you are staying in before leaving for Dipolog.

Both Legazpi and Dipolog experience a tropical climate with hot weather and rainfall all year round. The average temperature between the two cities does not differ much with the average temperature in Dipolog being 27.6 degrees Celsius and the average temperature in Legazpi being 27.1 degrees Celsius. Legazpi, however, experiences a slightly higher amount of rainfall with 3104 mm annual rainfall a year compared to Dipolog with an annual rainfall of 2462 mm.

  • Dipolog Sunset Boulevard - If you love sunsets, then the Dipolog Sunset Boulevard offers one of the best sunsets in the Philippines. Many locals and travelers come here to enjoy the sunset. Many joggers also use the boulevard for their evening jogs. Along the boulevard, you will be able to find cheap local food vendors, pizza shops, coffee shops, restaurants ad bars. End your day here by taking a stroll and enjoying the fresh air along the boulevard.
  • Cathedral of Our Lady of The Most Holy Rosary - The cathedral was built in 1894 and has undergone several renovations. One of the major renovations was to have the façade of the cathedral to be covered in marble. When visiting the cathedral, do keep an eye out for the ceiling of the cathedral which is made of hardwood, and the alter which is a replica of the retablo which was originally designed by Dr. Jose Rizal.
  • Aliguay Island - Aliguay island is said to be Dipologs hidden paradise. The island is remote, untouched and breathtaking. The stretches of long white sandy beaches are enhanced by the clear blue waters beaming with colorful marine life. The island, which is also an established marine sanctuary, only has a handful of residents living on it. If you plan to spend a night on the island, do be aware as there is no water source on the island.
