I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Boss Singapore near Lavender MRT Station. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk to the MRT, making it super convenient to explore all parts of Singapore. The hotel is very clean and well-maintained, and the housekeeping team does a great job every day. The rooms are cozy and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, including a fridge, safe, and coffee/tea facilities. I also really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff—they made check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. The swimming pool area is a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. Another highlight is the abundance of food options around the hotel, including hawker centers and restaurants just steps away. Overall, it offers excellent value for money, especially considering its strategic location and good facilities. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Singapore, whether for business or leisure!

Luckily I found Yotel. The location is great, close to the bus stop and MRT. As soon as I exit, I'm right at the bus stop. The cleanliness is beyond question. Thumbs up! Although the room is small, it's well-designed, accommodating up to three people. The breakfast was delicious. If I go to Singapore, I'll stay at Yotel again, my hotel of choice in Singapore. Thank you.

The hotel is clean, comfortable, the staff is friendly, and it has easy access to shopping areas and the MRT. When I needed porridge at 2 a.m. to take my medicine because my illness had relapsed, I called the hotel staff, and they quickly helped make it for me even though the kitchen was closed. It was very helpful. I really appreciated it. Good experience. Thank you🙏🥰

Had a great stay at Orchard Hotel. We're upgraded to premier room that comes worh bath tub amd king size bed that can fit all three of us. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly varied and when we came at about 8am there were not many guests and the spread is plenty. If you're driving they will give complimentary parking as well. 👍🏼

Nice location, 1-minute walk to MRT station, and you can also even walk to some popular places such as Fort Canning Park and the National Museum. The area is quiet and within walking distance to some good restaurants and shops. I don't think we can have anything better than this hotel. Next time, I'll definitely return to this place since the room ambience is quite good for me.

The rooms are very nice, tidy, and clean. The rooms are very spacious for staying here temporarily. The beds are very large and very soft! Very comfortable. Then, the bathrooms are very clean, tidy, and in order. This is our second time going here because the hotel is very nice, and if people want to book it, I highly recommend it! With the staffs being so kind, gentle, and patient. The balcony is very spacious with the room's wallpaper is so vintage! And it's equipped with almost everything you need in daily life and very close to Orchard, so if you're taking SMRT or MRT, it's close to it! You just need to walk like 12 to 15 minutes average if you're carrying heavy bags or bags, and it's very family-friendly. And the shop and mall are very close to this hotel. For the swimming pool, so clean, and the dining food in the restaurant below so tasty with the salon beside it, I would surely love to come here again and I would like to rate it 5 stars! The hotel deserved 5 stars!

The room is the same as the photos from app. It's clean and well-designed. We can place our luggages and shopping downstairs, do some laptop work without disturbing the other person sleeping upstairs. Wi-Fi works well. They have a desktop AI machine that you can use to call receptionist, ask for amenities (bellboy will come by to give them to your room), ask for recommendations for restaurants, etc. Hot water in shower works well. Mini fridge works well. Breakfast spread is decent with various choices available. Pool and lounging area is beautiful and comfortable. MRT station takes a bit of walk (+-1 km) but near the hotel there are scenic riverside walks with a lot of restaurants. Hotel is connected to MEMO cafe on the ground floor, we got a $40 coupon through our app booking. Hotel staff are pleasant and friendly. Especially Richard who received us when checking in, he also taught us how to get to MRT station and other places when we arrived.

More about hotels in Singapore

Hotels in Singapore — Find the Best Deals on Traveloka

Singapore is one of Southeast Asia's most dynamic destinations, offering world-class attractions, incredible food, and a dazzling skyline that draws millions of visitors every year. Whether you are a local looking for a staycation escape or hosting friends and family from abroad, finding the right hotel in Singapore is the first step to an unforgettable experience. Traveloka makes it easy to compare and book hotels across every corner of the island, from luxury high-rises overlooking Marina Bay to cosy boutique stays tucked away in heritage shophouses. With prices starting from as low as SGD 45 per night, there is something for every budget and travel style.

Explore Singapore's Most Popular Hotel Districts

Singapore may be compact, but its neighbourhoods are remarkably diverse. Each district has its own character, and your choice of hotel location can shape the entire feel of your stay. Here is a closer look at the most popular areas to book a hotel in Singapore.

Marina Bay & Downtown Core

Marina Bay is the jewel of Singapore's skyline. Home to the iconic Marina Bay Sands, the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay, and the ArtScience Museum, this district is perfect for travellers who want to be at the centre of the action. Hotels in Marina Bay range from ultra-luxurious five-star properties averaging SGD 350 | SGD 800 per night to more accessible four-star options in the wider Downtown Core area starting from around SGD 150 per night. If you are visiting Singapore for business, many Marina Bay hotels offer excellent conference facilities and are within walking distance of the Central Business District and Raffles Place MRT station.

Orchard Road

Orchard Road is Singapore's premier shopping belt, stretching over two kilometres with malls, department stores, and flagship boutiques. Staying along Orchard Road puts you within arm's reach of ION Orchard, Ngee Ann City, and Paragon, making it ideal for shopaholics. Hotels here cater to a wide range of budgets. You can find well-reviewed three-star hotels from SGD 90 per night, while renowned five-star names along the boulevard command rates from SGD 280 per night and above. The Orchard MRT station connects you seamlessly to the rest of Singapore via the North-South Line.

Bugis & Kampong Glam

The Bugis and Kampong Glam area blends culture, street art, and vibrant nightlife. Arab Street and Haji Lane are famous for their independent boutiques, cafes, and colourful murals, while the Sultan Mosque stands as a stunning architectural landmark. Hotels near Bugis tend to be mid-range and boutique-style, with rates typically between SGD 80 | SGD 200 per night. Bugis MRT is an interchange station on the East-West and Downtown Lines, giving you excellent connectivity across the island.

Sentosa Island

For a resort-style holiday without leaving Singapore, Sentosa Island is the top pick. This island playground features Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Siloso Beach, and multiple golf courses. Sentosa hotels are predominantly four- and five-star resorts, with nightly rates ranging from SGD 180 | SGD 600 depending on the season. Families particularly love the spacious rooms and kids' clubs available at many Sentosa properties. Access is easy via the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity or by car across the Sentosa Gateway.

Chinatown

Chinatown is where heritage meets hipster culture. Shophouses line the streets alongside modern bars, temples like the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, and the bustling Chinatown Street Market. Accommodation in Chinatown ranges from budget hostels and capsule hotels starting at SGD 45 per night to chic boutique hotels in restored shophouses from SGD 120 per night. Chinatown MRT station sits on both the North-East and Downtown Lines, providing direct access to many popular spots around Singapore.

Little India & Lavender

Little India is one of Singapore's most culturally rich neighbourhoods. The streets are alive with the aromas of spices, the colours of garland shops, and the energy of Tekka Market and Mustafa Centre, the famous 24-hour shopping complex. Hotels in Little India are among the most affordable on the island, with clean and comfortable options available from SGD 50 per night. The area is served by Little India and Farrer Park MRT stations, both on the North-East Line, keeping you well connected to the rest of the city.

How to Find the Best Hotel Deals in Singapore on Traveloka

Traveloka offers a range of features designed to help you secure the best possible rate for your Singapore hotel stay. Use the built-in price filter to set your budget, read verified guest reviews to gauge quality, and check for Traveloka-exclusive promotions that can save you up to 50% on selected properties. Booking in advance is one of the simplest ways to lock in lower rates, especially during peak travel periods such as the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in September, the year-end holiday season from November to January, and Chinese New Year in January or February. For last-minute staycation plans, Traveloka's app-only deals and flash sales frequently feature Singapore hotels at significantly reduced prices.

Tips for Choosing the Right Singapore Hotel

With thousands of properties available, narrowing down the right hotel can feel overwhelming. Consider these factors to make your decision easier. First, think about proximity to MRT stations. Singapore's public transport system is efficient and affordable, and staying near an MRT station means you can reach almost any attraction on the island within 30 to 45 minutes. Second, consider the purpose of your trip. A romantic getaway might call for a Marina Bay waterfront suite, while a family holiday could be better suited to a Sentosa resort with pool access and kid-friendly amenities. Third, pay attention to guest reviews on Traveloka, particularly recent ones, as they give you an honest snapshot of the current condition and service quality of the hotel.

Singapore Staycation Ideas for Locals

Staycations have become a beloved tradition among Singaporeans, and for good reason. A night or two at a hotel in your own city can feel like a mini holiday, especially when paired with dining deals, spa packages, or pool access. Many Singapore hotels now offer dedicated staycation bundles that include breakfast, late checkout, dining credits, and attraction tickets. Orchard Road hotels are popular for shopping-focused staycations, while Sentosa resorts appeal to those craving a beach vibe. For something more unique, consider a heritage boutique hotel in Chinatown or a contemporary art-themed property in the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct. Traveloka regularly curates staycation collections so you can browse the latest offers in one convenient place.

Getting Around Singapore From Your Hotel

One of the best things about Singapore is how easy it is to get around. The MRT network covers the length and breadth of the island, with six main lines and more under construction. Buses complement the rail system and reach areas the MRT does not. A single-trip fare typically costs between SGD 1 | SGD 2.50 depending on distance. Ride-hailing apps like Grab are widely available and convenient for door-to-door travel, especially late at night. Taxis are metered and reliable, though fares can add up during peak hours due to surcharges. For those staying on Sentosa, the Sentosa Express monorail and island buses make internal travel straightforward. From Changi Airport, the MRT, airport shuttle, or a Grab ride will get you to most hotel districts within 20 to 50 minutes.

Book Your Singapore Hotel on Traveloka Today

Frequently asked questions

What is the average price of a hotel in Singapore?

Hotel prices in Singapore vary widely depending on the district and star rating. Budget hotels and hostels in areas like Chinatown and Little India start from around SGD 45 to SGD 80 per night. Mid-range three- and four-star hotels across Bugis, Orchard, and the city fringe typically cost between SGD 100 and SGD 250 per night. Luxury five-star hotels in Marina Bay and Sentosa range from SGD 300 to SGD 800 or more per night. On average, most travellers spend around SGD 150 to SGD 200 per night for a comfortable hotel stay in Singapore.

This central location puts you within walking distance of major attractions like the Merlion, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands, and the Esplanade. The area is also well served by MRT stations, making it easy to explore other parts of Singapore. Orchard Road is another excellent choice for first-timers who enjoy shopping and dining, as it offers a huge variety of malls, restaurants, and hotels in one convenient stretch.

When is the cheapest time to book a hotel in Singapore?

Hotel rates in Singapore tend to be lowest during the off-peak months of January to March (after Chinese New Year) and June to August, when tourist arrivals dip slightly. Avoid booking during major events like the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix in September, the Christmas and New Year period from late December to early January, and Chinese New Year, as demand and prices spike considerably. Booking at least two to four weeks in advance on Traveloka can also help you lock in lower rates.

Is Sentosa a good area to stay in Singapore?

Sentosa is an excellent choice if you are looking for a resort-style experience. The island is home to Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, Adventure Cove Waterpark, and several beautiful beaches. Hotels on Sentosa are mostly four- and five-star resorts with swimming pools, kids clubs, and dining options. It is especially popular with families and couples. The only trade-off is that Sentosa is slightly removed from the main city, but the Sentosa Express monorail connects you to VivoCity and HarbourFront MRT within minutes.

How do I get from Changi Airport to my hotel in Singapore?

There are several convenient options for getting from Changi Airport to your hotel. The MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is the most affordable option, with the East-West Line running from Changi Airport station into the city for under SGD 3. The journey to central Singapore takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Ride-hailing services like Grab typically cost between SGD 20 and SGD 40 depending on your destination and the time of day. Metered taxis are available at the arrivals hall and cost roughly the same. Some hotels also provide airport shuttle services, so it is worth checking with your hotel before arrival.

Are there affordable hotels near Orchard Road in Singapore?

Yes, there are affordable hotel options near Orchard Road. While the boulevard itself is known for luxury properties, the side streets and neighbouring areas such as Somerset, Dhoby Ghaut, and Newton offer three-star hotels and boutique stays starting from around SGD 90 to SGD 130 per night. These hotels are typically just a short walk from Orchard Road and provide good value with clean rooms, free Wi-Fi, and convenient MRT access. Booking through Traveloka also gives you access to exclusive discounts and flash sales that can bring prices down further.

What should I look for when booking a Singapore hotel on Traveloka?

When booking a Singapore hotel on Traveloka, pay attention to the guest review scores and read recent reviews for up-to-date feedback. Check the hotel's proximity to the nearest MRT station, as this will make getting around much easier. Look at the included amenities such as breakfast, pool access, and free Wi-Fi. Compare the cancellation policy, especially if your travel dates might change. Finally, keep an eye out for Traveloka-exclusive promotions, coupon codes, and bundle deals that can offer significant savings on your stay.

Which Singapore neighbourhood is best for food lovers?

Singapore is a paradise for food lovers, and several neighbourhoods stand out. Chinatown is fantastic for hawker food at spots like the Maxwell Food Centre, home of the famous Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice. Little India offers rich and flavourful Indian cuisine at Tekka Market and along Race Course Road. Kampong Glam is known for excellent Middle Eastern and Malay dishes. For a more upscale dining scene, Marina Bay and Orchard Road feature a wide selection of award-winning restaurants. No matter where you stay, you will never be far from incredible food in Singapore.

Do Singapore hotels charge a tourist tax?

Singapore does not impose a tourist tax in the traditional sense. However, hotel bills in Singapore are subject to a 10% service charge and prevailing GST (Goods and Services Tax), which is currently 9%. Most hotel prices displayed on Traveloka already include these charges, but it is always a good idea to check the price breakdown before confirming your booking to avoid surprises. Some hotels may also charge a small fee for extra beds or rollaway beds if needed.

Can I book a same-day hotel in Singapore on Traveloka?

This is especially useful for last-minute staycation plans or unexpected travel changes. Some properties even offer special last-minute rates that are lower than their standard pricing.
