On this special weekend, the museums there offer later opening hours, multi-passes, and even provide outdoor music and dance performances.   • Main Tower - The Main Tower is an iconic part of Frankfurt's ever-growing skyline. The tower has a public viewing platform that is visited by many. The Main Tower is 200 metres tall and is the fourth-tallest building in the city, which also makes it the fourth-tallest in Germany. The tower is located on the east side of the Bankenviertel, where visitors of the viewing platform can get a clear view of the Altstadt and the Main. On Fridays and Saturdays, the observation deck extends its hours a little later than usual (until 21:00 in winter and 23:00 in summer). Visitors can come up in the evening to see Frankfurt in lights.
  • Frankfurt Cathedral - Frankfurt Cathedral took on special meaning because of its historical importance in the days of the Holy Roman Empire when Germany was finally united in the 19th century. The cathedral was built in the 1300s and 1400s in the Gothic style,m. Since then, it has been faithfully rebuilt twice; once after a fire in 1867 and then in the 1950s after the war. This former collegiate church was awarded the title of "cathedral" when it started hosting the coronation ceremonies for the Holy Roman Kings. Visitors coming to see the magnificence of the cathedral should keep a lookout for the 14th-century choir stalls, the Baroque Assumption Altar and the 15th-century fresco of the life of Mary in the southern transept.
