I booked a 1-bedroom unit for just one night, but the owner surprised me with a free upgrade to a spacious and luxurious 2-bedroom apartment. The kindness and hospitality were truly beyond expectations. The unit was extremely clean, beautifully designed, and had an amazing view of Kuala Lumpur. Every stay here feels comfortable, safe, and premium. Whenever I visit KL, this is always my first choice. The service, location, and overall experience are unmatched. The owner is very generous and attentive, and I genuinely appreciate how well they take care of guests. InshaAllah, one day I hope I can afford to own a condo in this beautiful building. If you’re looking for a place that feels like home but with a luxury hotel vibe, I highly recommend staying here. You won’t regret it!

The hotel is exceptionally clean and features attentive, friendly service. Facilities are better than average, including a comfortable game room, a well-kept pool, and the Dinosaur Water Theme Park (RM20/pax), which is a nice perk. The food provides good variety and is enjoyable. While the location is convenient and city-close, expect a busy, crowded setting due to the adjacent shopping mall and heavy traffic on the main road

More about hotels in Malaysia

Malaysia is renowned for its diverse landscapes that range from towering skyscrapers to lush rainforests, pristine beaches, and vibrant coral reefs. The country is divided into two main regions: Peninsular Malaysia, which borders Thailand and Singapore, and East Malaysia, situated on the island of Borneo, shared with Indonesia and Brunei.

One of Malaysia's most notable features is its cultural diversity, influenced by Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous traditions. This diversity is reflected in its cuisine, festivals, architecture, and everyday life, making Malaysia a fascinating melting pot of cultures.

Malaysian Hospitality and Culture

Hospitality is ingrained in Malaysian culture, with locals known for their friendliness and willingness to help visitors. Whether exploring urban centers or remote villages, travelers can expect warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Respect local customs and traditions, such as removing shoes before entering homes or places of worship, and dressing modestly when visiting religious sites. Learning a few words of Bahasa Malaysia (Malay language) can also enhance interactions with locals.

Malaysia also offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit every budget and preference. From luxury hotels and resorts in Kuala Lumpur and Penang to budget-friendly guesthouses and hostels in smaller towns like Kuching, travelers can find comfortable lodging easily.

The Public Transportations in Malaysia

Public transportation in Malaysia is efficient and affordable, with options including buses, trains, and taxis. Kuala Lumpur's LRT (Light Rail Transit) and Monorail systems provide convenient access to major attractions, while intercity buses connect destinations across the country. Online Taxi services such as Grab and Maxim are also available in Malaysia.

The Best Areas to Stay in Malaysia

How to get to Malaysia and what's the public transportation in Malaysia?

To get to Malaysia, most travellers use flights, with Kuala Lumpur International Airport being a major hub. Meanwhile, for the public transportation in Malaysia, there are few options you can take:

  • By bus

The nationwide bus system in Malaysia is extensive and user-friendly, offering frequent express buses between all major cities and villages in addition to slower local services that typically operate within a 100-kilometer radius.

  • By train

The Peninsula's train service, KTM, forms a Y-shaped network. Its base is in Singapore, branching into Malaysia at Gemas, with lines extending to Thailand and Tumpat, traversing through major cities and the Jungle Railway. For more details, visit KTM's official website.

  • Long-distance taxis

Long-distance taxi may be found in most Malaysian towns, generally near the express bus terminal. Taxis may travel far faster than buses between cities and towns throughout the nation. The drawback is that they are shared, so you have to wait for enough people to arrive to occupy the car's four passenger seats. The cost is often two or three times that of an express bus ticket.

  • Ferries and boats

Traveling within the area is reasonably priced, owing to the presence of several low-cost airlines. Malaysia Airlines (MAS) and low-cost airlines AirAsia and Firefly conduct domestic flights inside Malaysia. Flying inside Malaysia can save you time, but keep in mind that there are many connections between rural airports that need you to change planes in Kuala Lumpur.

  • By air

Flying within the region is reasonably priced thanks to a few low-cost carriers. AirAsia, Firefly, and Malaysia Airlines (MAS) are the low-cost airlines that offer domestic flights inside Malaysia. Flying is not always a time-saver while traveling inside Malaysia. Frequently, connecting flights between rural airports involve changing planes in Kuala Lumpur.

  • Driving and vehicle rental

Driving is a feasible option for tourists in Peninsular Malaysia due to the excellent roads; nevertheless, it may require some adjustment to the relaxed native mindset regarding traffic regulations. Driving is done on the left, and passengers at the front of the car must always buckle up. You must present a valid driver's license and be at least 23 years old in order to rent a car.

  • Car and bike rental

Car rental rates begin at around RM120 per day for weekly rental. Meanwhile, motorbike rental costs around RM20 per day, while bicycles, useful in rural areas, can be rented for a few ringgit a day.

  • City and local transport

The city and local transport include local bus networks, taxi, rishaws (bicycle rickshaws). It can be found in most Malaysian cities and towns serve both urban areas and hinterland.

  • Kereta sapu

Private automobiles, vans, and (on bad roads) four-wheel drives known as kereta sapu (often colloquially termed "taxis") function like buses or taxis along certain routes, generally from the main bus stops. These vehicles are particularly common in Sabah and Sarawak, though they are also found across Peninsular Malaysia.
