The Ann Siang Road area is a place that has one of the neighbourhood’s most distinct features; there are many rows of restored shophouses that line the streets. It is exactly a place where you can do many things here such as eating and drinking many types of food until no space in your stomach. This place connects the Ann Siang Hill to Kadayanallur Street.

Most of the houses along Ann Siang Road were built between 1903 and 1941. Ann Siang Road, which has elegantly restored shophouses today, was once the traditional home of clan associations and exclusive social clubs.

Sri Mariamman Temple

The Sri Mariamman Temple is Singapore's oldest Hindu temple. It is an agamic temple, built in the Dravidian style. Due to its architectural and historical significance, this temple has been gazetted on 6th July 1973 by the Preservation of Monuments Board as National Monument.  Besides that, it is one of the tourist attractions in Singapore.
