Open University Malaysia is the seventh Malaysian private university. It is owned by the Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations. The main campus of this university is located in Jalan Tun Ismail Kuala Lumpur.

However, there is also a learning centre located in Pontian. This centre focuses on a higher education which can be taken as a part-time. These courses are open to everyone who wishes to get a better education.

How to Get There

By Car

From Kuala Lumpur, one can drive towards Pontian by taking the Kuala Lumpur – Seremban Expressway. Then one can take exit number 247 heading for Simpang Renggam/Benut/Pontian. By taking route 96 one should be able to see signage that will lead to Open University Malaysia. The distance between Kuala Lumpur and the University is around 310 kilometres. The driving time will take around 3 hours and 26 minutes.

By Bus

There is bus terminal nearby to Open University Malaysia. Therefore it is easy to get there via bus. From Kuala Lumpur, one can take a bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan. There is a bus that goes directly to Pontian Johor. The bus will stop at the Pontian Bus Terminal. There are several bus companies that make their way there too. Some of them are Mayang Sari, S&S and many more. The fare is around RM 26 to RM 28 per way.

Kukup Island is one of the largest uninhabited mangrove islands in the world. There are many unique plants and animal habiting this island.
