Hotels in Mines Wellness City

Mines Wellness City was previously known as Mines Resort City. It is an integrated Health and Wellness developing township in Seri Kembangan, Selangor. The land is used to be the world’s largest open cast tin mine covering 13000 acres including the lakes. On 30 March 1988, this land was proposed to be developed into one huge recreational and tourism city. By the year 2020, the City is envisioned to be a RM 5.5 billion development, playing a central role in tourism and becoming the prime wellness destination in the country.

How to Get There

By Car

Mine Wellness city is located about 35 minutes driving from the city of Kuala Lumpur on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Highway. Take the exit at the Mines Resort City.

By Train

You can also take the KTM Komuter train and stop at Serdang Station. From here, cross the highway on the overhead bridge and walk for about 15 minutes to the Mines Resort City.

The Mine Wonderland

At this park you will be able to enjoy cruising on the 150 acres open cast mining lake that used to be the largest open cast tin mine in the world and take the Wa-Wa Splash Duck Tour. The Water Cruise is available from 9 am to 9 pm and the Wa-Wa Splash Tour operates from 11 am to 5:30 pm. The Mines Shopping Mall where the jetty is located. The 45 minutes Water Cruise will take you to cruise on the Resort city and you will get to see the beautiful combination of the lake and the bustling city.

Putrajaya Wetlands Park

Managed by Perbadanan Putrajaya, Putrajaya Wetland is the first man-made wetland in Malaysia, which includes a Wetland Park (138 hectares) and the wetland areas (1977 hectares). The Wetland now is also a wildlife sanctuary which attracts a huge variety of animals to the combined terrestrial-aquatic wetland environment. Several species of local marshland birds and water birds including migratory birds from Northern Hemisphere have been spotted there. Binoculars will come in handy for bird watching. The visitors can also enjoy a leisurely walk, jog or cycle along its bicycle track.
