Good location with easy access. Room is big and clean. Nice surrounding with wonderful scenery.

Pasir Puteh is a town, district and parliamentary constituency in Kelantan, Malaysia. The town of Pasir Putih is situated on the bank of Semerak River, about 30 kilometers to the south of Kota Bharu. Pasir Puteh district borders Terengganu to its south-east. While, Tok Bali is a small fishing port in Kelantan, Malaysia, located about 48 kilometres from Kota Bharu. In recent years, it has served as an alternative departure point for tourists to the Perhentian Islands. Taxi drivers are reportedly given a hefty commission for delivering passengers here rather than the main departure point at Kuala Besut, further south. The village's main sources of income are fishing and farming (primarily tobacco). The Marine Department has allocated RM5 million for development through the East Coast economic region, including for further developing Tok Bali as a base for fishing boats and tourist boats to the Perhentians and Pulau Redang.

How to Get There

By Plane

If you are traveling by air, the nearest airport is the Sultan Ismail Petra Airport (IATA: KBR, ICAO: WMKC) an airport that operates in Kota Bharu, a city in the state of Kelantan in Malaysia. The airport is in Pengkalan Chepa, about 50 minutes to Tok Bali. Alternatively, the Sultan Mahmud Airport, which serves the city of Kuala Terengganu and the state of Terengganu. It is located 100 km from Tok Bali and handles more than 500,000 passengers annually. It has a single runway and serves Malaysia Airlines, Firefly, and Air Asia.

Tourist Attractions

Perhentian Islands

The Perhentian Islands lie approximately 10 nautical miles (19 km) off the coast of northeastern Malaysia in the state of Terengganu, approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the Thai border. The name Perhentian means "stopping point" in Malay. This is because the islands became a staging point used by traders traveling from Malaysia to Bangkok. The two main islands are Pulau Perhentian Besar ("Big Perhentian Island") and Pulau Perhentian Kecil ("Small Perhentian Island"). Kecil attracts more travellers as it has cheaper accommodation, while Besar is a little more expensive and caters more to families and those who want to avoid the backpacker party scene. The small, uninhabited islands of Susu Dara, Seringgi and Rawa lie off Kecil. All the islands belong to a protected marine park, which means that fishing, collecting coral and littering are strictly prohibited, although in practice litter is one of the major problems that face the islands.

Redang Island

Redang Island is famous for its crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and the tropical fish that inhabit the numerous reefs, many within 50 feet of the shore. In contrast to the neighboring Perhentian Islands backpacker hangout, Redang has a more upmarket image, as almost all accommodation on the island is resort-based. The largest beach is Pasir Panjang on the east side, featuring half a dozen resorts. However, on the south end this beach usually has more choppy water and the beaches will have more debris than the beaches around the bend to the north. The snorkeling is also found to the north of Pasir Panjang. Scheduling your vacation around the summer school break will mean drastically fewer people at the resorts and it would not be uncommon on the beaches on the north end of the beach for you to be one of only a handful of people if not the only person on the beach.

Tok Aman Bali Beach Resort

Tok Aman Bali Beach Resort is located at Pantai Bisikan Bayu in the district of Pasir Puteh about 50 km away from Kota Bahru. The resort is also strategically located near Terengganu-Kelantan border as the gateway to Kelantan, the resort offers its guests luxurious comfort coupled with famous Kelantan hospitality.
