Damansara Utama is one of the districts of Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. The suburb is divided into two sections, SS20 in the east and SS21 in the west. These two sections are separated by the busiest six-lane highway, Damansara–Puchong Expressway, in short, it is known as (LDP). It has a population of about 142,000 people that comprises of multiracial local citizens as well as expatriates. Damansara Utama is not famous for any attractions for it does not have any shopping malls but it is famous with an uptown in SS21. How to Get There

By Bus

From KL city to Damansara Utama by bus, there are two main picks up points which are KL Sentral and Pasar Seni. For rapidKL bus, the bus that can get you to Damansara Utama is U82. From Pasar Seni, Metro buses that operate to Damansara Utama are; 6 and 99.

If you are using the train (LRT) and get off at Kelana Jaya station, the bus U89 can take you from the station to Damansara Utama. If you get off at Taman Bahagia station, the bus T626 will take you from the station to Damansara Utama.

The Curve is a famous shopping mall located in Mutiara Damansara. The three floors mall can accommodate a total of 250 stores and it was opened in 2005. It stores popular locals and international brands ranging from clothes, shoes, toys, tools to foods. It also has outdoor kiosks where the visitors can leisurely walk and shop for clothes at the opened air area. Connected with a bridge is the famous IKEA household goods. IKEA is a Scandinavian chain that sells high-quality, home-made furniture, built in a spacious building like a warehouse.

Tropicana Golf and Country Resort

From Damansara Utama, Tropicana Golf and Country Resort could be reached with 10 minutes driving via LDP. Most of the business travellers will always look for a golf course before ending their business trip. Tropicana is one of the best courses in Malaysia with its excellent hospitality and beautiful, well-maintained green golf.

Sunway Lagoon

Sunway Lagoon is Malaysian famous and number one water theme park located at Bandar Sunway. It takes about less than 30 minutes driving from Damansara Utama. This theme park makes itself suitable for not only the children but also the adults. There are six exciting theme parks for the visitors to experience such as Scream Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park, Extreme Park, Water Park and Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon.
