Hotels near Seremban Railway Station

Seremban Railway Station started its construction between the years of 1904 and also 1910.The cost back then was only around RM26,000. The trains that uses this route was delivering goods to the cities and it also acts as a train service to the public for the North and South Line.

In the year 1994, the station was remodelled to be able to launch the KTM Komuter service that stretches between Rawang and Seremban. Due to the remodelling, the station was able to facilitate the KTM Komuter facilities as well as making the platforms to be more accessible. This is especially for the KTM locomotives and coaches.

It was in 1995 when KTM Komuter began its operation. The route was Rawang to Seremban but then it was extended to Gemas and later on Pulau Sebang or Tampin. Now KTM ETS has been added to the station as well. This service would open up route between the Seremban Line to Batu Caves and Pulang Sebang or Tampin stations.

The station was model to be simple. It only has an oblong planned one storey building for the ticketing booth as well as passenger gates. Most of the original design was maintained such as the brick and plaster entranceway. It also has carved wood beams at their verandah.

The station begins its operation from 5 am. The last train would be at 10.30 pm. Therefore, passengers will need to be mindful of the timing.

How to Get There

By Car

Visitors from Kuala Lumpur may drive there. They may take the North South Expressway and head to Seremban. The signboard for Seremban are in abundance on the expressway. Then from there, visitors may take the exit 219 which is the Port Dickson exit. It will only take 51 minutes to reach the station. The distance is around 67.7 kilometres far.

By Train

For those who wish to come to Seremban Railway Station via the train itself, one can always take the train either KTM or ETS from Kuala Lumpur Central. The ride will take more than hour to reach the destination as it makes a lot of stops. As for the fare, it will cost less than RM10 per way to get to Seremban.

Tuanku Ja'afar Royal Gallery

This is an educational gallery located in Seremban. It displays the information about the former Negeri Sembilan Yang di-pertuan Besar Tuanku Jaafar. The building was built on May 2nd, 2012. It was completed on 2013. The gallery mainly exhibits the private collections and life of Tuanku Jaafar. The opening hours of the gallery is between 10 am to 5 pm. The fare is RM30 per person. The gallery is actually within walking distance towards the Seremban Railway Station.
