The Seri Wawasan Bridge is one of the main bridges in the city Putrajaya This futuristic asymmetric cable-stayed bridge with a forward-inclined pylon inspired by a sailing ship accented at night with changeable color lighting. The bridge, also called Bridge No. 9, crosses Putrajaya Lake, an artificial lake made to provide natural cooling, and connects Precinct 2 on the Core Island, where the main government buildings are located, to the residential area of Precinct 8. The bridge first open for public in 2003 constructed by Perbadanan Putrajaya with a total length of 240m. The six lane suspension bridge uses a combination of cable backstays and structural steel tie backs. It also has pedestrian and bicycle lanes. The Seri Wawasan Bridge is a distinctive feature of Putrajaya which plays the important role of connecting the different precincts of Putrajaya. Thus, if you are to reach Putrajaya, you will certaintly pass by the bridge.
