Hotels near Terengganu International Endurance Park

Terengganu International Endurance Park is located in the Bidong Valley, Setiu, being located 40 kilometres away from the state capital Kuala Terengganu. As a national and world-class horse race event venue, it has been hosting some of the world-class endurance horse riding tournaments. A brainchild of His Majesty the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin which has been very interested in this riding sport, he has also participated in some of the racing events himself as an athlete. Some of the tournaments organized here are the Sultan Cup for Terengganu Tough Horses Challenge which has started since 2004 and World Rally Championship since 2008 which involved 21 countries and 15 local riders.

Terengganu International Endurance Park in itself is a complete equestrian sports hub with various facilities such as the horse clinic which is considered the first of its kind in the east coast part of the country. Opened Fridays to Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, the facility is complete with ultrasound facilities and horse blood retrieval for better checkup purposes. In addition to that, it is also equipped with VIP chalet facilities. Upon arriving, visitors may notice the gate is horseshoe-shaped in design and there is a horse-shaped tree nearby the gate.

How to Get There

By Plane

Terengganu International Endurance Park can be accessed by boarding flights to Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu. There are flights to Kuala Terengganu from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport provided by Malaysia Airlines and Air Asia. From the airport, guests may hail up to a taxi or public transportation to the landmark.

By Car

People driving from Kuala Lumpur may drive through the E8 route for direct access to Terengganu International Endurance Park. The journey could take up to four hours and forty minutes depending on the traffic situation.

By Bus

The nearest express bus terminal is located in Jalan Sultan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu. Take the trip directly to Kuala Terengganu from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) terminal using express bus services such as Transnasional Express or Express Mutiara before opting for local buses to go there.

This beach can be easily found upon entering Setiu from Kuala Terengganu. Rest assured, this beach is preserved from human development hence visitors can expect a very beautiful beach experience. The islands of Bidong and Redang that are within a short boat ride can be clearly spotted the shores.
