Banting is a settlement with the postal code of 42700 of Kuala Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia. Banting is reportedly to have a population of 93,497 which comprises of Malay, Chinese and Indian. It is situated on the banks of Langat River. Banting is a Rest Town or Bandar Persinggahan due to the history of Jugra, a former royal town of Selangor before Kuala Lumpur.
