Salak South is a developing town of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It nested at the southern tip of the metropolitan city. Initially, the centre of the town had only few rows of shop houses. The township has undergone significant development. There is one huge systematic bus terminal known as Integrated South Terminal (TBS), KL Expressway train station, LRT train station, extensive housing area, and a lot more. Therefore, it would be a surprise knowing the fact that Salak Selatan is now having an inevitable issue, which is heavy traffic jam. Salak South is also linked to the LRT station and commuter station. The two stations are located 500 metres apart and are connected with a pedestrian bridge.
This town is very easy to access since it is the integrated transportation centre. From any part of Kuala Lumpur or Selangor, there are trains that can get you there, Salak Selatan. Find a train that heads off to Sri Petaling or Ampang. This train line will stop by at Salak Selatan station.
If you are travelling from other parts of Kuala Lumpur, be it from the north states, east states or south states, the bus will stop at TBS. From the terminal, get a taxi to get you to your destination in Salak Selatan.
The Mine Wonderland provides few excitements for you to enjoy. You can get the experience cruising on the 150 acres open cast mining lake that used to be the largest open cast tin mine in the world. The cruise will take about 45 minutes and is available from 9 am to 9 pm. You can also experience the Wa-Wa Splash Duck Tour that operates from 11 am to 5:30 pm. Both tours pick up point is at the jetty located in The Mines Shopping Mall.
Cheras Sentral is a new shopping mall upgraded and renovated from the previous mall known as Plaza Phoenix. Located in Taman Len Sen, it is easily accessed for it is located just by the busy road side as well as opposite to a Taman Connaught train station. From Salak Selatan, it is reachable within 20 minutes. Other than housing a few famous brands such as F.O.S, G2000, Lazo Diamonds and others, it also features TGV cinema.
Founded in 1931, UPM was formally known as Universiti Pertanian Malaysia or College of Agriculture Malaya or School of Agriculture. UPM is recognised by the independent government assessments as one of Malaysia's leading research universities offering undergraduate and postgraduate courses with a focus on agricultural sciences and its related fields. On 2015, UPM was ranked 45th in Best Global Universities for Agricultural Sciences of U.S. News & World Report College and University Ranking.
