Sam Poh Tong

Located at Gunung Rapat, there is the oldest and famous cave temple named Sam Poh Tong Temple. It is the Chinese Buddhist temple that was built in the limestone cave. Its façade ages more than six decades. It becomes an attraction to the public and tourists for they can climb the 246 staircases that will lead them to an open cave with a majestic view of Ipoh city. The visitors can also release the turtles into its pond as a symbolic of balancing one’s karma.
